Our Newest Arrival!!!! and Easter!

We got to celebrate Easter before our new baby came, like literally the day before he came ha ha. The girls always LOVE to get dressed up in Easter dresses and have their hair done all pretty. Although I am amazed we got them all looking at the same time! Thanks to my cousin they got to color Easter eggs, I was feeling quite exhausted being pregnant so Alyssa came over to help the girls color eggs.
THE EASTER BUNNY OFFICIALLY CAME!!
This kid ate so much sugar that I swear, she is still on a sugar high to this day! She loved every minute of it though.

INTRODUCING:
CONNOR JOHN RUNIA
He was born on April 5th at 4:09 pm, weighing 7lbs 5oz and was 21" long.
HIS BIRTH STORY
So at the end of my pregnancy we started trying everything to get him to come, but nothing was working. Not only would it not work I wouldn't even get any extra contractions or anything, no change basically. We had an inside joke that he could hear all those sisters and so he was hanging on by his toes to my ribs cause he wasn't gonna come out with all that chaos ha ha. Finally I had a Dr. appointment on Friday the 2nd where I asked to be induced, I mean my due date was on Monday, so they scheduled me for my due date to be induced, which worked out well, so we could celebrate Easter with the fam before he came. So with the induction I was told they would call me in the morning to tell me when they wanted me to come. The girls slept over at grandma's cause we didn't know when they would call. They called at around 6 am asking if we could be there at 7:15. So we get there and they finally got me started around 9 am with the pitocin. When I got there I was dialated to a 3 and was around 65% effaced. So around 11 there hadn't been much change I was like 85% effaced and dialated to a 3 1/2, they told me that the anesthesiologist was going to be doing a c-section at around 12 so I didn't want to end up waiting around for the epidural so I said I may as well get it now while he is around and available. So we got that and then it was the waiting game. The epidural started to ware off around 2 I think, so they had to come fix that which was soo much better. Then more waiting, I ended up on oxygen cause the baby's heart rate was all over the place with each contraction. At 3:00 I was all the way effaced and only dialated to like a 6, however the head was low. I thought it was going to take FOREVER! At that point it had taken me 6 hours to dialate 3 cm. Anyway, at 3:30 I had a lot of pressure and I was complete, so although the first 3 cm took 6 hours the last 4 cm took a half hour. I just have to say thank heaven for epidurals! I was ready to push but of course had to wait for the Dr. she got there, I remember at 4:05 and he was out at 4:09, there was not a lot of pushing ha ha. He came out and the chord was wrapped around his neck which would explain the sporadic heart rate. We also had to have the NICU team there because there was meconium that came out when my water broke. That was kinda scary, instead of suctioning the baby and then setting the baby on my stomach after he was born, they took this baby who was not breathing yet immediately to the NICU team who then proceeded to shove a tube down his throat to suction him out. I do remember being suprised when he only weighed 7lbs 5 oz, we were all expecting this 9-10 lb monster to come out, I mean Jayda was 8lbs 10oz and was a week early! I was happy he was smaller though, much easier for me ha ha. Everything turned out to be just fine with him. I was fine and ready to eat! So that is the birth story not to bad with minimal complications.
We love him, he is a really easy going baby. He only cries when he is hungry, getting his diaper changed and during his baths. I have never seen a baby cry in horror as bad as he does when getting their bath, it has not changed since he was born, usually they start getting used to the baths but he HATES them with a passion. I find myself only giving him a bath every other day instead of every day so I don't have to watch the look of horror that comes on his face(yes I know, I do give my infants baths everyday, even though they tell you they don't need them, I beg to differ, they poop all over the place plus spit up all over themselves everyday).
This was right after he was born when they finally let us hold him.

He is such a proud daddy!

Look at the super cute hats they have for newborns at the hospital. I guess they have volunteers that make them and bows for the girls.

We have some VERY excited sisters and grandma. The sisters love to smother him especially Nyah.

Jayda loves him, but she is more interested in mommy still, as long as she gets the attention she wants she is pretty good. I love that she likes to cuddle, that's where she wanted to be every time they came to visit us in the hospital.

Family of 6. . .we must be crazy!

Three generations of Runia boys!! It took us quite a while to get that Runia grandson but he finally made it!
There was a cute nurse who made that card for him to put in his bed and he got another cute hat. I really have liked this hospital.
That was his going home outfit.
Right after bath time! He will instantly stop crying once he has a towel wrapped around him. Love this little guy!

His froggy towel, I LOVE it. Our little froggy.

I just liked this picture so I added it, so cute.
So there ya have it, that is our little guy! I just got done taking his 2 week pictures last week, so when I get them down loaded I will add them, they turned out super cute! Plus I have picts of his room that also turned out super cute!! So stay tuned for more picts.
