Cherry Hill

Cherry Hill this year was a blast as always, the kids and a TON of fun with cousins and playing in the water. Here is our dare devil Nyah getting thrown by daddy in the pool. Nyah and Daddy

Our little "Shay Shay", she liked wandering in the water.

Keira and Jamie had a blast playing with all the toys together

Jayda was NOT amused with this slide as you can see.

I LOVE this picture the way she is standing plus the look on her face is just priceless. Also the shoe on her hand is a crack up!

I don't know how they convinced Keira to go down this ride but she did it.

Keira with Grandma
Me and my girls in the lazy river.

Jayda getting caught eating butter, I guess that is my pay back for eating butter when I was a child. uggh it just grosses me out.
Jayda enjoying watermelon, even the rhine.
sitting around chatting and eating.
This is Keira's outfit that she walked all over the place with it on. She is such a crack up.

These things almost make her look cross eyed ha ha.
All I can say is, that poor dog! Look at the look on Jayda's face though, it so reminds me of a facial expression my sister, Heather used to make. Don't you agree, Heather.
Ny, totally fell asleep in the lazy river.

My kids LOVE Cherry Hill and are already talking about when we can go back, or as Keira calls it "shally Hill". We enjoy it every year, our little "Staycation"

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell with Jared's family, well all his siblings with their families, and his mom. Okay so basically everyone except his dad, who stayed home cause he had recently had knee surgery. Anyway, we stopped to see Jared's grandma Joy on the way, the kids just love her she is so cute with them and you can tell she really enjoys having them around.Jared and me and his favorite place. So this is our beach and one night this stuff called "Indian Soap" came in and it ate away at our beach causing a drop off that was not there before it was so crazy. Before it came where Jared was standing would have maybe gone up to his knees and now look at it. This is my proof that every time I go to Lake Powell, we get lovely weather.

Nyah while there got to be our brave little girl, she was jumping off of things into the water and going face first off this slide into the water. She had so much fun with her cousins.

Keira and Jayda loved playing with the sand toys we brought

We washed our hair some days, yes it was in lake water but it did feel much better after you did it.

You can see Jared here, but if you look slightly to the left you can barely see Nyah, who climbed up there with the rest of them ready to jump off this and then she got up there and froze. It took nearly 30 minutes to convince her to jump. Eventually she did and after that she was hooked and loved it. I think she has a little of her daddy in her there.

Keira and her cousins, Ethan and Tyson. They had a good time.

They all went hiking up here in that crack in the wall. Nyah was with them and Jared said she wanted to be in front and lead the way and was never scared. You can see her in front as they are coming down now.
Here is my dare devil husband cliff jumping.

Washing Ny's hair

Our lovely family photo, look at Jayda's happy face and Keira's I have no idea what she is doing face. At least Nyah looked.

This is our little "mud flinger" she loved getting shovel fulls of mud and dumping it on this cooler over and over. Of course she got mud everywhere all over herself.
After the cooler she attacked Keira with the mud, who was not pleased with this ha ha, oh Jayda you are your daddy's child through and through always teasing.

Nyah and Addy being pulled by this cool tube, they LOVED it.

Keira just enjoyed many boat rides.

So that is Lake Powell in a nut shell it was so much fun we really had a good time.

Keira's 1st Day of School!

So, Keira's birthday is August 19th (yes, I am aware it is this week), she is turning 5, so she is actually old enough for Kindergarten, however, with a birthday so close to the school deadline, which is September 1st we decided to hold her back. So this year she is going to preschool which started the first week of August, like the day after we got back from Lake Powell. So this is her first day. She was so excited to go and she has LOVED it. Her teacher is so good with her, her name is Mrs. Hammer, Keira just calls her "Hammer" I guess that is a step up from when she went to my moms house during preschool time when my aunt Robynn taught preschool and Keira called her "preschool" which was hilarious. Anyway, she has loved preschool so far which is good, as you can see she has "Hello Kitty" on her shirt and a "Hello Kitty" backpack, it's all about "Hello Kitty" with this kid, I can never see a "Hello Kitty" anything without thinking of Keira.

Jayda's Dinner

I had to add these pictures, this kid has been our BEST eater by FAR! She eats anything we give her, not to mention the amount of times I catch her with a toy in her mouth, everything goes in her mouth. This is her eating spaghetti one night at dinner. We love our "Shay, Shay", her dubbed nickname which started out as "JJ" cause her name started with a J but when Keira says it she uses the sh sound for j's which is funny so it always sounded like she was saying "Shay Shay" and it stuck.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NYAH!!!!

Wow were does the time go! It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital, and yet another year has passed us by. She is officially 7 years old. This year when asking what she wanted for her birthday her list was something like this; American Girl Doll, Nintendo DS (a DS, is she crazy she clearly doesn’t know how much they cost ha ha), a necklace, and a webkin. When did she get to the point where she stopped asking for toys? It’s so weird for me.

She is such a sweet girl and an ultimate mother I think that is her calling in life; she loves to play mother to her younger sisters, Keira and Jayda. She is always making sure to help them if they need help or make sure they aren’t doing anything that would get them into trouble. She has really grown this year and I don’t just mean physically. We like to call her “Bella” from “Twilight” since she trips over her own feet, however this year it’s almost as if she has finally grown into those feet, she is so much more balanced now and has done really well in Soccer and Gymnastics this year. She is compassionate, kind, always thinking of others, social, friendly, just to name a few of her qualities. She is also our ultimate GIRL, she LOVES clothes, in fact I took her to the store Justice and you would have thought I took her to heaven I couldn’t get her out of there ha ha. She loves anything girly; she would wear dresses everyday if I would let her. She has really come along in school too this year she is always reading, I will catch her at night reading the Book of Mormon in bed. She really likes to read chapter books especially The American Girl series.

This year for her birthday I informed her that we were not doing a party, she could have parties with friends every other year. I told her she could choose an activity and we would do that as a family. She wanted to go swimming at the pool, easy enough we have an awesome pool at my gym I go to. So on Saturday we told people we were going to the pool so some of them met us there and we all went swimming and it was a blast. She loves the water, you can’t get her out. Then for today I decided to surprise her with a few decorations and her presents when she woke up so we did that and she loved it. She had school today and I sent her so she would think it would be just like a normal day. Well, I was planning on surprising her again by checking her out just before lunch. I did, and she was so excited, we (just the two of us) went to lunch, I let her pick and she wanted to go the place with the giant ice creams, Iceberg. So we went there and ate and she got a strawberry shake that we shared. After I took her to the movies and she loved that, although it’s hard taking her to the movies, she is a “chatty Kathy” and will not stop talking and asking questions. After that we came home and after dinner we had some family and friends over for cake, ice-cream and presents! That is the best part of the birthday right? She loved every minute of it. She wanted a cake with water on it this year since we had gone to the pool so we did the Hawaiian theme, I always have them made that is not something I can do is making cakes I can be crafty in other areas but not that so thanks to the Wal-Mart bakery we got a cute cake. So after it was present time where she got everything she asked for her “Nintendo Ds”, at least mommy and daddy’s budget version although she calls it her DS so I am so glad she is satisfied with that, she got a new “American Girl” doll (again mommy and daddy’s generic version) she doesn’t know the difference for now so that is good. All in all I think she had a good time on her birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
