Lake Powell

We got to go to Jared's favorite place in the world again this year. . . Lake Powell. We went with my parents and some friends of theirs. We camped in Paige and then put the boat on the Lake every day. It was so much fun. So, Keira's absolute favorite place to ride in the boat is in the bow. Well one day she was right up there similar to this photo only without Jayda and we were riding along and then all of a sudden she just fell backward hitting the floor of the boat. We did not hit any waves, there was no sudden jerking of the boat, oh no she had fallen asleep and fell back! I am so glad she didn't fall forward!!! After that I had to keep checking on her to make sure she was not asleep sitting up there.

They loved to go in the water in their tubes, they could have done it almost all day.

We went to the dam which was neat to see. We also went to Rainbow Bridge but of course I had forgotten my camera that day. My mom had hers so we did get pictures but she has them and I have not gotten them from her yet.

Our little boater.

Jayda loved getting the boat all muddy and then washing it off with the watering can, it was very cute.

Keira was VERY safe (unless you count the falling asleep in the bow of the boat incident) as you can see she was going to make sure she would not drown. She has her life jacket, her tube, and shallow water. . . very cautious!

Out little baby boater, he was so good. He wasn't a huge fan of the life jacket but he didn't put up much of a fuss. Every time the boat was moving he would always fall asleep.

Jared got to water ski, he was very happy about that. It has been a while since he has been able to.

Proof that I did go on our vacation.

My parents friends that came had a two daughters, Nyah's and Keira's ages and they all got along great. Nyah talks about Mckenzie all the time and has been writing her letters since the trip.

We had so much fun and were not ready to come home. We would love if we could go every year to Lake Powell. Of course Jared would live there if we let him.

4th of July Star Valley Style

Over the 4th of July we went to my good old home town Star Valley. We went for a family reunion and had a lot of fun. Since my parents live here now, we don't get to go there very often so it's nice when we do go.

Nyah and Keira got invited to be on one of the floats in the parade which they thought was wonderful. They had a good time waving flags and throwing candy.Jayda had fun watching the parade. She got very daring running after candy that was thrown in the street.Attempting to get all my kids in a picture and have it turn out decent is pretty much impossible at this point I just pick my battles and choose the one that is not the worst ha ha. As you can see Connor especially loves these moments. No visit to Star Valley in the summer is complete without visiting the Red Baron so we went there for food and ice cream which Jayda LOVED!We got to see my old house I grew up in. Wow it has a lot of memories! It is sadly not the same though. It is now trashed inside and really disgusting. It makes me sad.Of course we did fireworks and we got to do the really fun ones that go very high as they are not illegal in Wyoming. My kids didn't know what to think. But of course we had sparklers first. I love how she has her blanket in her mouth. Only in Star Valley would you have to wear a coat out to do fireworks in July.

We had a great time there, it has been forever since I have been there for the 4th of July, I think since the year Nyah was born so that would have been 8 years ago. It was nice to go back again.

Summer BBQ

Over the 4th of July weekend we decided to have a big BBQ at my parents house. We had a lot of people come, some of our friends, my bro and his friends, some friends of my parents etc. It was a TON of fun. We ended up with a HUGE water fight, including the big blow up water toy my mom has, water guns, water balloons, the hose, pitchers of water, etc. No one was safe and everyone got dumped in the little pool on the water toy whether you had clothes on or swim suit. Nyah randomly caught a butterfly that crawled all over her head it was CRAZYWe hatched a plan to get my brother in the water with his clothes on, which included one of my friends calling him on the cell phone and all the guys had to pitch in to help because he put up a FIGHT!!!!We were of course successful!Of course Cameron was next! After their pool run in and all wet.

We had TONS of food and all hung around visiting and laughing.
When it got dark we pulled out the chairs for the fireworks. Of course right in the middle of it all the automatic sprinklers came on and everyone went running and screaming. (To bad that was not on video!)
We had these GIANT marshmallows my mom got and Becky decided to play "chubby bunnies" she got 3 of those things in her mouth! (I should also post this pic on facebook, I know Beck would LOVE it ha ha)
Jayda and Tylie just wanted to watch cartoons together.

It was so much fun! We should do it again.

Cherry Hill

So we just recently went to Cherry Hill. My family goes there every year as a family reunion. We have been going since I was 10 years old (so, a LONG time). We love it and it holds a lot of memories for us. This year, Jared's family decided to also have a family reunion there the same weekend we would already be there which was nice for us, to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

Jared's grandma Joy got to join us and she made a "club" for all the grand kids called "The Screaming Yellow Zonkers" so now we decided to extend the invitation to the great grand kids as well. So we had a ceremony for the kids to be initiated into the "club" by getting a cup of water dropped on their head. As you can see Connor was somewhat less then amused with this. According to Jared they got off pretty easy cause he had to be dunked in a creek. Grandma Joy had a grand time getting all the kids wet. The kids had a blast playing in the water everywhere.
Even Connor got his fair share of fun.
They got to play with their cousins.
Jayda's highlight was to play in pirates cove with all the water toys.
We had fun going on some of the slides with everyone

All in all it was another fun year at Cherry Hill and we look forward to next year!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NYAH!!!

WOW, I can't believe Nyah is 8 years old already!! Her birthday was on June 1st. It went by so fast. It's sad for mom, she is transitioning from toys to "tween" things. For her birthday she got a CD player and I made a CD for her with her favorite singers; Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez. She has now been in her room listening to her CD. She is getting so much older, and way to fast.

For her birthday, I checked her out of school and we went and had a picnic lunch together at a park. Then I took her to see a movie. She got to choose her favorite dinner and desert to eat that night, which she chose "diggaroni" aka Beefaroni. For dessert she wanted lemon bars. After dinner we opened her gifts, which she got the CD player, CD, a CTR ring, some new scriptures with her name on them, some colored pencils for marking her scriptures, a scripture tote. She also got some money, clothes, make-up, etc from grandparents. We sang "Happy Birthday" to her with candles in her lemon bars and that was her day.

On Saturday she gets to have her party, which is a Taylor Swift party. We will post more pictures of that when it happens.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NYAH WE LOVE YOU!!! She absolutely adores her baby brother and is always wanting to hold him and kiss him.

She looks so old with her haircut, of course she now wants it long again, so it was short lived.

Our Newest Arrival!!!! and Easter!

We got to celebrate Easter before our new baby came, like literally the day before he came ha ha. The girls always LOVE to get dressed up in Easter dresses and have their hair done all pretty. Although I am amazed we got them all looking at the same time! Thanks to my cousin they got to color Easter eggs, I was feeling quite exhausted being pregnant so Alyssa came over to help the girls color eggs.
THE EASTER BUNNY OFFICIALLY CAME!!
This kid ate so much sugar that I swear, she is still on a sugar high to this day! She loved every minute of it though.

INTRODUCING:
CONNOR JOHN RUNIA
He was born on April 5th at 4:09 pm, weighing 7lbs 5oz and was 21" long.
HIS BIRTH STORY
So at the end of my pregnancy we started trying everything to get him to come, but nothing was working. Not only would it not work I wouldn't even get any extra contractions or anything, no change basically. We had an inside joke that he could hear all those sisters and so he was hanging on by his toes to my ribs cause he wasn't gonna come out with all that chaos ha ha. Finally I had a Dr. appointment on Friday the 2nd where I asked to be induced, I mean my due date was on Monday, so they scheduled me for my due date to be induced, which worked out well, so we could celebrate Easter with the fam before he came. So with the induction I was told they would call me in the morning to tell me when they wanted me to come. The girls slept over at grandma's cause we didn't know when they would call. They called at around 6 am asking if we could be there at 7:15. So we get there and they finally got me started around 9 am with the pitocin. When I got there I was dialated to a 3 and was around 65% effaced. So around 11 there hadn't been much change I was like 85% effaced and dialated to a 3 1/2, they told me that the anesthesiologist was going to be doing a c-section at around 12 so I didn't want to end up waiting around for the epidural so I said I may as well get it now while he is around and available. So we got that and then it was the waiting game. The epidural started to ware off around 2 I think, so they had to come fix that which was soo much better. Then more waiting, I ended up on oxygen cause the baby's heart rate was all over the place with each contraction. At 3:00 I was all the way effaced and only dialated to like a 6, however the head was low. I thought it was going to take FOREVER! At that point it had taken me 6 hours to dialate 3 cm. Anyway, at 3:30 I had a lot of pressure and I was complete, so although the first 3 cm took 6 hours the last 4 cm took a half hour. I just have to say thank heaven for epidurals! I was ready to push but of course had to wait for the Dr. she got there, I remember at 4:05 and he was out at 4:09, there was not a lot of pushing ha ha. He came out and the chord was wrapped around his neck which would explain the sporadic heart rate. We also had to have the NICU team there because there was meconium that came out when my water broke. That was kinda scary, instead of suctioning the baby and then setting the baby on my stomach after he was born, they took this baby who was not breathing yet immediately to the NICU team who then proceeded to shove a tube down his throat to suction him out. I do remember being suprised when he only weighed 7lbs 5 oz, we were all expecting this 9-10 lb monster to come out, I mean Jayda was 8lbs 10oz and was a week early! I was happy he was smaller though, much easier for me ha ha. Everything turned out to be just fine with him. I was fine and ready to eat! So that is the birth story not to bad with minimal complications.
We love him, he is a really easy going baby. He only cries when he is hungry, getting his diaper changed and during his baths. I have never seen a baby cry in horror as bad as he does when getting their bath, it has not changed since he was born, usually they start getting used to the baths but he HATES them with a passion. I find myself only giving him a bath every other day instead of every day so I don't have to watch the look of horror that comes on his face(yes I know, I do give my infants baths everyday, even though they tell you they don't need them, I beg to differ, they poop all over the place plus spit up all over themselves everyday).
This was right after he was born when they finally let us hold him.

He is such a proud daddy!

Look at the super cute hats they have for newborns at the hospital. I guess they have volunteers that make them and bows for the girls.

We have some VERY excited sisters and grandma. The sisters love to smother him especially Nyah.

Jayda loves him, but she is more interested in mommy still, as long as she gets the attention she wants she is pretty good. I love that she likes to cuddle, that's where she wanted to be every time they came to visit us in the hospital.

Family of 6. . .we must be crazy!

Three generations of Runia boys!! It took us quite a while to get that Runia grandson but he finally made it!
There was a cute nurse who made that card for him to put in his bed and he got another cute hat. I really have liked this hospital.
That was his going home outfit.
Right after bath time! He will instantly stop crying once he has a towel wrapped around him. Love this little guy!

His froggy towel, I LOVE it. Our little froggy.

I just liked this picture so I added it, so cute.
So there ya have it, that is our little guy! I just got done taking his 2 week pictures last week, so when I get them down loaded I will add them, they turned out super cute! Plus I have picts of his room that also turned out super cute!! So stay tuned for more picts.
